This switch has it all at a very affordable price. 48 10/100 ports to connect all your office workstations and network attached devices such as printers. 24 of those ports support PoE (Power Over Ethernet) which can power other network attached devices such as IP phones, network cameras and wireless access points. In addition there are 4 gigabit Ethernet copper ports with 2 GBIC slots to connect servers or for long run fiber. The gigabit ports can also be used to stack these switches to other netgear stackable switches for maximum backplane between physical switches. They call it a Smart Switch but it is practically a layer 2 managed switch with advanced features like QoS, CoS, port trunking, VLAN, MAC authentication and radius. The traffic prioritization is especially helpful if you are running VoIP or video over your network.
